UNIOSUN Crisis: VC, Governing Council Chairman and Bursar Suspended

In a move to put an end to a year long crisis that has been rocking the Osun State University (UNIOSUN), the governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has suspended the the Chairman of the Governing Council, Prof. Gabriel Olawoyin (SAN), and the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bashir Okesina. These two camps have been engaged in an unending battle against each another. The school's bursar was also affected.

The governor in his remarks, while inaugurating the visiting panel to look into the crisis, accused some universities of contributing to the the nation's dilema instead of proferring solutions.

The five-man panel is headed by Prof. Adebiyi Daramola, VC of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. They have been charged with the responsibility of seeking a viable solution to the crisis rocking the institution.
