Godly Alternatives - Software

(God is not an option, He gives the options and man chooses.)

The software are the set of instructions that make the computer work. So in simple terms, a computer is useless without instruction. As it goes for the computer, so also it is for us human beings. The computer has two parts - the hardware and software. Human beings too have two parts - the spirit and the body. As the computer's hardware cannot function or work without the software, so is a man unable to function and work without the spirit. As the software is an instruction to the computer system, the same happens for the human being - the spirit provides the set of instructions that tell the body what and what not to do.

Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

Proverbs 10:17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuses reproof errs.

The law, the commandment, the instructions from God and from Godly parents are what makes our life work. The life of any man consists in the instructions he/she hears, listens to and obeys. There are good instructions and there are bad ones as well. The good instructions for example in a computer are what makes the computer functions well and usable. The bad instructions are known simply as viruses, they contaminate, distort and destroy the computer from behaving normally and responding properly. The bad instructions condemn the computer and makes it unusable. If we follow well and live by good instructions, our lives will be sweet as honey and glorious like the bright shinning sun. Our lives will excel and all people will admire who we are and what we have become. If we allow ourselves to be directed and controlled by bad instructions, we become useless and damaged, of no good to anyone - to God, to our family and to the society or nation at large.

What are the good instructions? Where do they come from? How can I know them?

Let's see the first set of good instructions as written in the Bible:

Exodus 20:1-17
(01)  And God spake all these words, saying,
(02)  I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
(03)  Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
(04)  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
(05)  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
(06)  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
(07)  Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
(08)  Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
(09)  Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
(10)  But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
(11)  For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
(12)  Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
(13)  Thou shalt not kill.
(14)  Thou shalt not commit adultery.
(15)  Thou shalt not steal.
(16)  Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
(17)  Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

Later on, Jesus came and perfected those instructions. This is what He said:
Matthew 22:35-40
(35)  Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
(36)  Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
(37)  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
(38)  This is the first and great commandment.
(39)  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
(40)  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

This is the new and living way, the way of grace and truth. The way to eternal life - loving God and loving our neighbour as our self. Follow these truth, obey them and live forever in peace with God. Amen
