Godly Alternatives - The Weakness of the Sinful Nature

Genesis 1:31

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Some people, many people, think it is only natural to lust. We just have to control our greed, they conclude.
The truth is this: As humans, we have many weaknesses, weaknesses here and there - spiritual, physical, emotional, social, relational, personal, etc. This truth can never be denied, even if hidden but is there not a cause? What could have resulted in producing all these professed weaknesses?

THE ANSWER

SIN is the problem! It is our problem. It runs from the core of our very being through our veins, bones and marrow. It occupies everywhere. Our daily thoughts are occupied by it. Our languages display it. Our intentions speak loud of sin. Our memories are sinful memories. Our goodness is corrupt and evil. Our desires foam pride, jealousy and hatred. The very fabrics of our mind weave evil from on top our beds. We speak vile, we act vile, we think vile. We are naughty, so full of vanity and meaninglessness. From the beginning of creation, it was not so.

We know it, we speak it, we act it and we cannot hide it. I can sense pride from a distance because I am evil too and I know pride.

Don't ever think we were wired that way. Never!! God forbid. It became our nature when sin entered into the world - through disobedience to the only commandment God gave to man. You imagine that, just one rule and man missed it all by disobeying this rule.
We cannot live without rules. Never. You think about it. Rules are not meant to keep us under bondage as many are often tempted to think. In life, there are cause and consequences for every act or demeanor. Think about this for instance, the same you that finds it difficult and unwilling to bend and obey your boss or a superior desires and sometimes, would go to any length to make sure those under you subject to your authority. If you and I naturally love and would enforce obedience, why not God? Remember He is our creator, without Him, we wouldn't even be here in the first place.

But thanks be to God, our good, loving, Heavenly Father, who made a way of redemption and reunion for us out of his love and mercy.
It is only a true and sincere heart that can get the miracle of life and redemption from God. This miracle is JESUS CHRIST. Accept Him into your life as your Lord and saviour. Jesus Christ won't disgrace you. He will give you life and peace, joy and progress, wholeness and eternal life.

Do you belief on the Lord Jesus Christ? Do you accept His offer of forgiveness and eternal life? Think and make a choice. It's all in your little mighty hands. I will implore you with the whole of my heart and life to accept Him.
