Godly Alternatives - The Great Fall (Part 3)
(God is not an option, He gives the options and man chooses.)
By one man Adam, came sin and death and by one man Jesus Christ, came salvation and eternal life.
(Romans 5:12-19)
Adam and Eve brought the great fall of man, according to the account of the Bible that I have given you from the two previous posts. Their disobedience caused our pains, horrors and eventually death - physical and spiritual.
Jesus Christ came to bring us back into peace and relationship with God (peace in our soul and a right relationship with God, the Father). Since it only needed one man to bring sin, death, hopelessness and destruction upon the entire human race, so also life, peace, redemption, salvation and eternal life came by one man, even the Lord Jesus Christ.
When Jesus Christ came, He boldly, profoundly and authoritatively declared: I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. Many world religions have striven to provide ways to get to the Father, even God, to get forgiveness and pardon, while others have created means to completely avoid the Father, so that there would be no feeling of guilt or punishment for what they have done wrong.
There is an emptiness, a void. The soul of man, I mean every man, is searching to fill this void. Saint Augustine once said: Oh Lord God, thou hast created us for thyself, and our soul is restless until it rests completely in thee. What a perfect description of the wanting of the soul of man and the perfect solution to this want - GOD
The soul of man is searching and it is searching for God. Now that you and I have known what our souls are searching for, how does every man on an individual basis get to God?
The answer is simple. It is through the door - Jesus Christ.
John 10:9
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him (you), I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
I am the door. Simple! I am the way, the truth and the life. Stop searching where there is no truth or where your heart will be deceived. Many of you reading this have already come across this truth but wish it were not so. Why? Because you think it's hard and it doesn't give room for any of your demands and idiosyncrasies.
God himself has determined and declared to man what He wants for him or her to get redemption and salvation. Now, it's your choice.
Jesus Christ or others ways? You choose. But remember, there are not many other ways, there is only one way to God the Father, to life and peace - Jesus Christ.
