Godly Alternatives - Truth

Truth is the most valuable thing on earth. So valuable that it is protected by a body guard of lies. This definition is according to Winston Churchill - Prime Minister, United Kingdom

This is the first among many that I hope God would use to change the young minds - on Campus and beyond.

My intentions for this post and the series that will surely follow is not to contend with any previous knowledge you may have, neither is it to argue that you are wrong. My simple and pure intentions are to present TRUTH, God's truth, which is absolute as written and made understood in his word; that in reading you may be convinced and that in pondering, you may believe and then apply this truths to your life and live by them. God bless you.

Forgive me if you think that I am sounding too godly. The word, LOGOS, found in the bible tells us this - 'In the beginning, God...' Meaning that your knowledge, the world and all that exists will not even be there in the first place without God. God wants it to be, and it came to be. If you believe in God, of which I think more than 90% of the world's population, everyone of them being creatures of the divine God still do, you will reason along with me.

What is Truth? Pilate, a king in Israel asked Jesus. Now I ask you: What is Truth?

The dictionary defines truth as a fact, something verifiable, a true statement, the quality of being correct. Now, let's dissect this discourse, shall we?

You know why Jesus didn't answer him? It's because Jesus Christ, who is the way, the TRUTH and the life is right there standing before Him and He didn't recognize Him or simply choose not to. Truth is a person - our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and it is only those who are sincerely seeking after the truth that get to discover Him as the TRUTH, not those whose intention is to mock the truth or trample it down under feet.

If you follow carefully the dictionary meaning given above, you will discover it presents truth as a fact, something verifiable. Why then did I digress from the topic and begin to talk about God? The reason is simple, hear me out: The definition of what is true, right or wrong comes from God, the ultimate personality and persona (image, character). He alone defines what TRUTH is. The moment you remove Him from the equation, everything else looses authority and becomes relative. Everybody begins to define for Himself what is true and what to live by.

There is more to the subject and I hope to dissect it bit by bit, every week, as God's grace will provide and supply.
