V.C UNIUYO Warns New Students

Newly accepted academicians of the University Of Uyo (UNIUYO), AkwaIbom, have been discouraged to avoid evil-doings, particularly prostitution and cultism.

The V.C of the university Prof. Mrs. Comfort Ekpo, who spoke at the matriculation ceremony for 7,691 newly accepted students, summed that taking part in such evil-doings would unfavourably affect their academic movement.

“It is in your concern to avoid all activities that will be damaging to your stay in this institution as a n academician,” she said.

She exhorted the academicians to tolerate the institution’s rules and regulations and put more emphasis on their studies.

“I exhort you to make the best use of the chance you have been given by spending your time advisably and making your academic effort your emphasis.
