Fighting, Malpractice, Cultism, Stealing will lead to EXPULSION!!!
Around 683
academicians were newly accepted into part-time and regular NCE curricula of
the College of Education, Warri. But
have been advised to avoid evil-doings or face ejection.
Dr. S.S. Ebisine, the Acting Academic Administrator of the College, gave the advice while
delivering a speech at the matriculation ceremony for the academicians.
He
complimented the new matriculating students but further said they should not be
carried away by the elation of gaining admission.
These were
his words: “You should not get elated and feel on top of the world because of
having gained admission into this honourable institution, instead you must
guarantee that you obey the rules and regulations of this institution and work
very hard to accomplish your academic targets,” he said.
Dr. Ebisine further admonished the students to avoid
evil-doings and unsociable conduct because those who partake in such activities
will be penalized.
“You should avoid
drunkenness, narcotics; unsociable conduct such as fighting, malpractice,
cultism, stealing and so on as such acts of unsociable conduct will result in expulsion
or suspension,” he summed.
The Acting Academic
Admin also denoted that the establishment will soon begin to execute Computer Based Examinations (CBT) for
students at it newly developed E-Learning Centre.
“Students
can also have access to the World Wide Web through the Cyberspace in the
library,” Dr. Ebisine said.
“Thus be
informed that by the time you are in Part 3, the examination mode will change
to computer based exams.”
He moreover
said the Institution has established association programs run with the Port-Harcourt University (UNIPORT) and
the University Of Delta State (DELSU)
