‘Smuggled’ $9.3 million, Nigerian Govt admits ownership

The Nigerian government has admitted ownership of the $9.3 million seized by South African authorities on 5 September

A Nigerian security official said the money was meant for purchase of arms as per normal practice within the intelligence community.

In a related development, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor has confirmed reports that linked the jet used by the arm dealers to him.

However, Pastor Oritsejafor, according to a Premium Times report, denied any direct involvement in the arms deal, saying that the jet was being managed by another company, Eagle Air Company, which in turn, leased the jet to a third-party, Green Coast Produce Limited.
