Wole Soyinka to Celebrate 80th birthday in UNILAG
The University of Lagos in collaboration with Wole Soyinka Society will host a four-day international conference to celebrate the 80th birthday anniversary of Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka from July 10 to 14, 2014.
The conference as reported, aims to promote the perpetuation of the cultural and artistic legacy of Professor Soyinka.
According to report, the title of the event would be “The Soyinka Impulse” with the theme “Art, Humanity, Transitions and Permanence: Calibrating Soyinka @ 80”. The opening Ceremony begins July 11, 2014 at 9.00 a.m. and the event venue would be Afe Babalola Hall, UNILAG. Co-Conveners are Professor Duro Oni and Dr. Bisi Adigun.
