Remains of the late President of Ghana, John Atta Mills, who passed away on July 24, 2012 will be committed to mother earth on Friday at the Presidential Palace in Accra, Ghana.

The body of the late elder statesman was laid in state in a banquet hall at the parliamentary complex in the capital Accra with flowers in Ghana’s national colours — red, yellow and green.

New President John Dramani Mahama was among dignitaries who waited in line to receive the body of the late president.
