NEW REGISTRAR-GENERAL APPOINTED FOR CAC

A new Registrar-General has been appointed for the Corporate Affairs Commission. He is Alhaji Bello Mahmud.

The Chairman of the Board of the Commission, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, announced the appointment yesterday in line with Section 8 of the Companies and Allied Matters Act No. 1 of 1990 and the due process policy of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Until his appointment, Alhaji Bello Mahmud was the Director of the Compliance Department of the Commission. He was also the former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Sokoto State and a member of the defunct Constituent Assembly, 1988-1989, before joining the Corporate Affairs Commission.
The Federal Government has communicated a no objection letter to the decision of the Governing Board.
